SkySaga has been in development since 2013 and was most recently in 'Alpha 9' before this shutdown announcement came. 3 Months ago the company teased that 'global open beta' was coming soon on their official Youtube channel too. It's unfortunate to see the game shut down before a full open beta launch but given how slow the development process was it's not surprising to see the game shut down.
