Ys Net’s released last year, finally delivering on the expectations of fans for a true sequel. Though the story doesn’t conclude the saga, creator Yu Suzuki has been.

It seems planning for that could be happening sooner than we thought.Lakshya Digital, which collaborated with Ys Net to work on character models for Shenmue 3, made a about how it was an “honour” to work on the title. “It is thanks to the confidence placed in us by Yu Suzuki san, CEO, YS Net Inc, and the entire team, that we could be true partners and provide effective solutions to deliver high quality content at the best value.”However, at the end, the company said, “We look forward to working on Shenmue IV very soon!” While one could look at this as accidental confirmation that work has already started on a sequel, it could also be viewed as the company hoping that it works on the same. Again, it’s not like Suzuki has been shy about wanting to make Shenmue 4.Even if Shenmue 4 is early in development, that’s not indicative of when it could release. After all, Shenmue 3 was famously announced at E3 2015 with its crowdfunding campaign launching at the same time. It en route to release, not to mention controversy. We’ll see if the next game faces these same hurdles, especially with the next generation of consoles out in the holiday season.

I feel like they might be working on it already. The whole third area that should have been part of shenmue 3 was cut out in the end.

Still we get a sneak peak of it in the final scene of the game. The area looks pretty different from the nature in bailu and niaowo. Wouldn't it be days of worthless programming to build all that just for a few seconds of cutscene? Especially considering it doesn't really add any really necessary information. I might be wrong but it's that one little piece of hope I have right now. I really hope so, I'm only about 15 hours into Shenmue 3 but I'm loving it so far.

Generality thesaurus. The meaning you and others might see is not the only meaning the sentence might have. Corp exclusively for testing. If you change exclusively for specifically it makes it easier to comprehend.I (specifically hired XYZ) for testing multiple simulations in order to find the best solution.vs.I hired XYZ (specifically for testing) multiple simulations in order to find the best solution.vs. Your last optionI hired XYZ Corp for (testing specific multiple simulations) in order to find the best solution. The third sentence changes the meaning from the original sentence and shifts the focus to 'specific multiple simulations' which was not what the sentence originally said. Traci, it seems to me that your first illustration using 'specifically'leaves open a multitude of interpretations. If the last example given by the author changes the meaning, it is probably supposed to do that.

I know it's really divisive for fans but I think it's more Shenmue and more Shenmue is awesome for me. I can spend one day playing arcade games and the next day fishing and the next day training king fu and the next day gambling and in between it all I'm searching for my father's murderer to get revenge. The game is beautiful even by today's standards and I love the attention to detail.

I sincerely hope that, together, we can continue to spin the tale of Ryo and his adventures in Shenmue 4.' That's a pretty big statement of intent.

I hope they keep making Shenmues and complete the story when it's meant to be completed. My only complaint is the QTEs are impossible to do the first time around. I really wish they relaxed them a bit, as I've failed them even when I know what to push. I think it's obvious that they'll need to make some serious improvements if they want to please old fans and attract new audiences.Personally, I don’t think it’s going to happen.

We were lucky e enough to get Shenmue 3, and I’m thankful, but I think the play style is so old school that it’s just not going to play well with the younger demographic game-by-game.We're living in an era in which games like Detroit, Catherine, Firewatch, NIER Automata, Life Is Strange, and Until Dawn can find success despite being the very definition of niche (much more so than Shenmue itself). Even Yakuza - which had previously struggled in the West - managed to grew its audience, so there's no reason to believe Shenmue can't be successful under the same circumstances.I think Shenmue needs a publisher with a clear vision for the IP. By that, I mean a publisher that isn't afraid to invest time and resources (and I'm not talking about a $100 million budget) to make a good game. In an ideal world, SEGA would step in and work alongside Yu Suzuki on Shenmue 4.
